Open Educational Resources (OER): OER Tools and Research

This guide is meant as an information portal for the faculty of Panola College

More Research

Affordable education. Transparent science. Accessible scholarship.

These ideals are slowly becoming a reality thanks to the open education,
open science, and open access movements. Running separate—if parallel—courses,
they all share a philosophy of equity, progress, and justice.
This book shares the stories, motives, insights, and practical tips
from global leaders in the open movement.

OER Guides

Part of our academic responsibility is to curate and share what others in the field are doing in order to bring awareness to what materials are available in our disciplines at our academic level of education. Consult several other online guides which have organized OER by subject or discipline.

A more in depth look at OER

This starter kit has been created to provide instructors with an introduction to the use and creation of open educational resources (OER). The text is broken into five sections: Getting Started, Copyright, Finding OER, Teaching with OER, and Creating OER. Although some chapters contain more advanced content, the starter kit is primarily intended for users who are entirely new to Open Education. [Version 1.1.
