APA Citation Examples

Basic format: 

Author, A. (YEAR). Title of the book. Publisher name.

Example:

Shotton, M. A. (1989). Computer addiction? A study of computer dependency.

Taylor & Francis.

Basic format:

Author, A. (YEAR). Title of the article. Title of the Journal, volume

number(issue number), page range. DOI (if available). 

Example:              

Arnett, J.J. (2000). Emerging adulthood: A theory of development from the late

teens through the twenties. American Psychologist, 55(3), 469-480. https://doi-org.proxy2.library.illinois.edu/10.1037/0003-066X.55.5.469

Basic format:

Author, A. A., & Author, B.B. (YEAR). Title of chapter or entry. In A. Editor,

B. Editor, & C. Editor (Eds.), Title of book (pp. #-#). Publisher Name. DOI (if available)

Example:

Basic Format:

Video Poster. (Year, Month Day it was posted). Title of the Video [Video].

Basic Format for PowerPoint on Canvas:

"Quotation" (Author, Year, p. #)
