As defined by the Interlibrary Loan Code for the United States, "Interlibrary loan is the process by which a library requests material from, or supplies material to, another library. ... The purpose of interlibrary loan as defined by this code is to obtain, upon request of a library user, material not available in the user's local library."

So what does that mean for you?  It means that M. P. Baker Library can reach out to other libraries around the world to borrow items!  Books, movies, articles, objects from the across the globe are at your fingertips!  Use the form linked below to request an item!

What's the catch?  Just because we request an item does not mean we can actually get it.  Libraries can and do restrict what items leave their collection.  We can ask but we can't guarantee anything!

Things to keep in mind:

1. ILL takes time up to 4 weeks.  
2. The issuing library sets the due date so we cannot guarantee how long you may borrow an item.
3. ILL is not always free so please keep in mind it may cost to borrow from another library.
4. ILL requires you to return the item.  Late fees, replacement fees for damaged items, and even losing library privileges all apply. 
5. You must be a current student to use this service.
